Does Bitlocker work on macOS & Mac OS X computer?
The answer is YES, but M3 Bitlocker Loader for Mac is required.
I have a USB stick encrypted by Windows 7 built-in tool (bitlocker). I would like to open it on my OS X El Capitan. When I open it, all I get is a file 'BitLockerToGo.exe' and another 'Read Me.url' I found some pieces here and there but no full procedure for mac. In the past, setting up both FileVault encrypted macOS/OS X and BitLocker encrypted Windows on a Mac with Boot Camp required manually configuring the disk partitions in a specific way to work around limitations in the MBR (Master Boot Record) partition scheme. This now works. Tutorial to open/acess Bitlocker encrypted drive on Mac computer. Step 1: Download M3 Bitlocker Loader for Mac on the Mac computer. Step 2: Double click the installation package and follow the wizard to complete the installation. Step 3: Insert a Bitlocker encrypted drive into the Mac computer. Step 4: Open Applications folder, find M3 Bitlocker Loader for Mac and then launch it.

Although Microsoft just developed and released Windows-only Bitlocker, has not implemented Bitlocker for Mac version, but with help of M3 Bitlocker Loader for Mac, Bitlocker is compatibile with Mac.

How to enable Bitlocker to work with macOS & Mac OS X computer?

Step 1: Download, install and launch M3 Bitlocker Loader for Mac on Mac computer.

Step 2: Insert Bitlocker encrypted drive into Mac computer, select Bitlocker encrypted drive and then click 'Open' icon to continue.

If we don't have the existing Bitlocker encrypted drive, please refer to How to encrypt USB flash drive with Bitlocker on Mac? to create a new Bitlocker encrypted drive.
Step 3: Enter the password (or 48-digit Bitlocker recovery key) to unlock Bitlocker encrypted drive.
Step 4: After Bitlocker encrytped drive is unlocked, we can read/write Bitlocker encrypted drive like a regular driive on Mac OS X computer.
